Please Note:- Hardware
The web pages produced below should be based on research from the Web and other sources, but the text should not be copied directly from the Web or other sources. That is a violation of academic integrity, and results in a zero for the assignment.
Part 1: Hardware Pioneer.
Copy your web page (index.html and styles.css)
use a text editor like Notepad++ to create a web page called pioneer.html about a person who greatly contributed to the development of computer hardware like:
Charles Babbage
Doug Englebart
Alan Turing
Steve Wozniak
Radia Perlman
You aren't limited to just these; feel free to use someone else. Research this person on at least three different web sites. Include:
an image of the person
one or two paragraphs about the person
at least three absolute links to the sources of your material
a relative link to your homepage (index.html)
also include a relative link from the homepage (index.html) to this page (pioneer.html)
Note: links should be clearly labeled as to what they're linking to
All formatting should be in CSS file, not in your HTML code
HTML should be easy to read with appropriate comments
Note: Be sure that pioneer.html is attractive and properly formatted and that it validates:
HTML Validator
Transfer pioneer.html (and supporting image files) and your modified index.html.
Part 2: Hardware
use a text editor like Notepad or Notepad++ to create a web page called hardware.html about some hardware device discussed in this module. This could be:
Processor
Input device
Output device
Storage device
etc.
Include:
an image of the hardware
one or two paragraphs about the hardware
a relative link to the homepage created in Assignment 3 (index.html)
also include a relative link from the homepage (index.html) to this page (hardware.html)
Note: links should be clearly labeled as to what they're linking to
All formatting should be in CSS file, not HTML code
HTML should be easy to read with appropriate comments
Note: Be sure that hardware.html is attractive and properly formatted and that it validates:
HTML Validator
Transfer hardware.html (and supporting image files) and your modified index.html.
Part 3: Shared CSS Changes.
Adjust the shared CSS file so that all three web pages look good
Limit the size of your images to 300 pixels while preserving the aspect ratio
Center all images
Part 4: Binary Game (5 points)
Play the Binary Game. Take a screen shot of your results and save it as binary.gif. You will receive 1 point for every 1000 points you score on the game (5 points maximum).
Note: Do not wait until Game is over to take a screen shot (because the screen goes gray). Take a screen shot before the page completely fills.
