For Lab 1 you will be finding two sets of data with at least 30 elements in each
One set must be numeric, the other categorical.
Collect/Find data sets that interest you!
You can gather your own: get a bag of skittles and count the colors,
weigh the bullets in a box, tally the types of vehicles that pass through an intersection, etc.
You can search the internet: Ski to Sea racer ages, average income by state
crimes by state, car accidents by state, gas prices by state, unemployment rates
batting averages MLB, weights or rushing yards NFL, heights or top scorers NBA, etc.
1. List your data sets in column A of the blue worksheets (see tabs at the bottom of this page).
2. Answer the questions in each blue worksheet. Make sure to leave all your formulas in, so I can check your work.

3. Make a histogram that is titled, labeled, colorful and professional Make the bins start at end at nice round numbers
Hints: Creating a histogram in Excel is a little weird (and dependend on version / operating system) try selecting your data (sorted or unsorted) and then "insert" and "histogram".
To alter the appearance "Chart Design", "Add Chart Element" and "Format Data Series" are all useful.
