2. I think that one way to promote gender justice would be to ensure women's access to all education. According to the articles "Gender Justice and Women's Rights" and "Women More Likely to SurviveHeart Attacks If Treated byFemale Doctors," women make up the majority of the illiterate population and are also under represented in many critical fields, such as healthcare where there are roughly half as many female doctors as male. Ensuringthat women have the same education opportunities and same education quality as men would allow them to succeed better in the workforce, as well as lifting many women out of poverty. Equal education opportunities would also allow women to enter more career fields where they are wholly under represented, such as law, politics, and medicine. By ensuring that women have access to these fields, they can ensure that themselves and other women are not left behind in places where decisions impacting them are being made. This connects to my own life in part because I am a woman and I do want to be a doctor. While I come from a place in which I have the opportunities and education available to do so, many don't, even if they have the drive and intelligence necessary to do so. Promoting equal education access promotes gender justice not only in school, but also in the workforce and in places of decision making and action as those education opportunities are what allow women to get there and force the men to see and acknowledge them.
