The goal of this assignment is for you to demonstrate your understanding of the criminal justice system in written and visual form;it will not be hand drawn. It also gives you the opportunity to be creative.

There are more than 25 steps a person who commits a crime can take through the criminal justice system. Therefore, there should be at least 25 steps (boxes) in your Flow Chart. The very first step (box) in the Flow Chart, for example, is the "CRIME" and one of the very last steps (box) in the Flow Chart is the "APPEAL" in court. There's two of the steps (boxes). You just need to come up at least 23 more steps (boxes).

Simply typing the names of the steps in a list with a number next to each step is not acceptable. Your Flow Chart can be vertical or horizontal, and can exceed more than 1 page. You can use the textbook, the Internet, and anything else you need to complete the assignment. Please don't ask Mr. T how many steps there should be. His answer will be, "All of them."
