Your final class assignments are to draft a PowerPoint (at least 5 slides) highlighting 3-5 areas we covered but applying them to your nonprofit. The assignment entry just before this offered a review of all the categories from which you may choose - from marketing to funding to events to board governance. PowerPoint counts for 120 points.
Please use graphics, photos, logos, and interesting fonts but be sure it is legible.
write an 8-page paper (250 points) that pulls the whole semester together. Try to hit every one of the topics covered on the previous assignment entry and apply the categories to your selected nonprofit - ie
1)Why is it set up as a nonprofit and not a for-profit? 2)What kinds of funding sources do they rely on (you can find this on their website usually - look for their annual report. 3)What is the organization's culture (large, small, community-focused, fee-based, part of a national organization? 4)What kind of board does it seem to have (size and function if you can tell) 5)Is Founder's Syndrome a concern here? 6)Describe its mission and accountability - is it doing too much? do they have good resources? Are they financially responsible? do they leave room for partnerships? 7)Strategic Plan - does it appear they have one? 8)Collaboration - do they seem to collaborate with other nonprofits, community partners, government offices, etc? 9)How do they (or do they) use volunteers? 10)Describe their marketing efforts 11)Does their funding and marketing connect at all - can you tell? 12) Talk about their special events (or lack of them) In your conclusion please make a summary paragraph. You may offer insights on favorable conclusions you now have of your organization or you may choose to state changes you would recommend.
