Please read the example before answering thank you.

I need the mass balance not a balanced equation I am aware that the equation is balanced. But I need the Mass balance.

To demonstrate what I am talking about I have provided the following as a go by.

Reaction

Lime dissolution by carbon dioxide (1)

Ca(OH)2 + 2 CO2 -> Ca2+ + 2HCO 3-

Mass Balance for (1)

Mass Ca(OH)2 in = Mass of Ca(OH)2 out + Mass of Ca2+ out

Mass of CO2 in = Mass of of CO2 out + Mass of HCO 3- out

Need the Mass balance for Limestone dissolution by carbon dioxide I need this for the second eqaution.

Limestone by carbon dioxide

CaCO3 + CO2 + H2O ----> Ca2+ + 2 HCO3 -

And an explanation if possible Thank you.
