When you think about chance, odds and probability and now that you have a better understanding of probability, would you be more apt to visit the casinos? Why or why not? Which casino games (e.g. BlackJack, Roulette, Slot Machines, etc.) would give the best probabilities? Give a specific example of an outcome of one of these games.

This is a very difficult discussion for me. Gambling is more than probability, it is a dopamine rush instigating game. Unless there is a game that is a one hundred percent guarantee (not going to happen) then I will never go back to a casino. However, for sake of this discussion, the game that would provide the best probability would be roulette. Through roulette, you have the highest chance of winning. I'm not saying you will get paid the highest, but with regard to probability, and control of out come, roulette is the game. By placing the smallest denomination on all 38 options on the table, You have a one hundred percent chance of winning. But the return is still less than since the payout is only 36 to 1.

I found this to be an interesting discussion. I never thought that casino games involved probabilities in terms of statistics. I never cared too much for blackjack but from what I'm reading I understand when it comes to probability it's supposed to be one of the best games to show this. One of my favorite casino games is the five line slot machine but it is stated that the slot machine is not the best game to play when it comes to probability; it's funny be a virtual or in person I've always managed to win something on the slot machine walk away with the money . Sometimes you have to understand the games at the casinos in order to be familiar with the possible outcome of the game. The bottom line with casino games and that includes blackjack as well is that the odds are stackedagainst you in terms of hitting the grand jackpot. Years ago I won the top jackpot prize on a slot machine and for some reason kept winning so my friend who was with me whispered in my ear walk away , this person is a mathematician, he knew the odds of me continuing to be a winner were not going to continue.
