Your digital marketing agency has been hired by the NFL and the Kansas City Sports Commission to develop a digital marketing and social media plan for the 2023 NFL Draft to be held in Kansas City. The NFL Draft is currently active on Instagram and Twitter. On Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn, the NFL Draft does not currently have a profile, but the NFL does. The data on how many followers each of these accounts has is shown in the chart below. The content is about current NFL news and highlights players and teams within the NFL. The frequency of the NFL Drafts postings across their different channels is not consistent; the NFL Draft should aim to have one post daily on their Twitter account, repost/reply to individuals actively promoting their page, and have one post daily to their Instagram account, along with this, providing Instagram stories twice a week. In addition to the NFL Draft's social media postings above, the NFL Draft should create its own Facebook and TikTok accounts. On Facebook and TikTok, the NFL Draft should post twice daily since it can be seen that the NFL's main account has so many followers on these social media vehicles. The NFL Draft should create, and develop a larger image of what the NFL Draft is going to look like in Kansas City. Providing less content about draft order and anticipated picks and more about the atmosphere around Kansas City, what experience the viewers will have while at the draft, where to go while visiting, places to stay, transportation, and prospects of the different players from collegiate teams.
