In this week's post, we were required to work on real-world customer service problems. The interactive case study was a great way to break the ice when having to select different options given while dealing with how customer service should be conducted in order to ensure repeat business from loyal customers.

After reviewing the polls based on my answers to the questions asked, I do believe that after seeing the results from the first question I could have selected Beth as the CFO or had the majority of the staff as internal customers. It was kind of easy to select the owners but once you really think about it, since she was hired to manage all finances and the rest of the managers are dealing with their many different positions it is essentially all part of the finance process for a business.

On the second question, I selected customers to be surveyed periodically. I just can't see myself taking a survey soon after the purchase is made, and I don't believe a vast amount of people would disagree. Personally, when I purchase something the last thing, I am thinking is of taking a survey right after. This is because I cannot make an informed decision when I have not even tried whatever it is that I bought and can't give you the good or the bad about the item.

Lastly, I do believe that great customer service can benefit any business. This means that financially it can certainly grow to be a business well known for the service they provide, as well as people recommending friends and family. However, since social media has made it easier for people to see products that may interest them, it is easy to understand that even if a company has great customer service and keeps customers satisfied there is still a good chance that customers will defect simply based on the price others may offer which would benefit them more based on their personal circumstances.
