. Being as I am in the military, I am required to move after each assignment. After my last assignment in Korea, I went home for 3 weeks, and I decided to purchase a car. I knew I was going to be stationed in Hawaii meaning I would have to ship my car from home to Hawaii. As my leave came closer to an end, I realized that the paperwork and documentation I needed would not be ready in time for me to personally drive my car to the place to be shipped.

I had to come up with a solution quickly, so I went through various options. One possible solution I had was to come back home at a later time to ship it. I eventually decided to allow someone I trusted to drop it off for me. She was able to get all the documentation needed to do it, therefore my car was able to be shipped and arrived in Hawaii about a month after I did.

2. I began by identifying my problem, I then created a list of possible solutions. When I make decisions, I tend to consult others in order to gain a new point of view as well as advice.

Through this process and advice from others I was able to find the solution, which was that my grandmother would take the car to the POV shipping center with all my information and documentation to turn it in for me because I was unable to do it myself, however, I was able to sign over authorization to her. " A decision is a choice about either a course of action, a strategy of action, or an option that leads in the direction of a desired objective..." (Universal Class, n.d.). My desired objective was to ship my car to Hawaii as I would now be living there, therefore I made the decision to have it shipped later than originally planned. I do regret waiting so long to handle what needed to be done because in doing that I delayed the entire process.

1- One issue that arose within the past six months was the hiring of a CFO by our CEO who subsequently began making decisions without consulting the HR office, of which I am the manager. This resulted in a significant shift in the organizational culture, leading to a 10 percent resignation rate among employees thus far.

I have made the decision to resign from my position as HR manager. Given the preference of the CFO for Public Relations and the decision to eliminate the HR office, I have chosen this transition. The CFO is supportive of my decision, and I am pleased with the outcome as it allows me to work part-time while pursuing full-time studies in order to complete my degree by the summer.

2- The steps I undertook were based on a one-year goal. Initially, I envisaged owning my own company and having it fully operational within the designated time frame of 12 months. As a result, I established an import-export business. Subsequently, in May 2024, I commenced training with the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Trade Commission. Additionally, I participated in several workshops held in Washington D.C. alongside representatives from Latin American Embassies. Following a compelling commercial offer from the Embassy of El Salvador, and after conducting further research on the opportunity, I decided to accept the proposal. I view this agreement as a valuable learning experience that will serve as preparation for future, larger deals. Consequently, I perceive minimal risk in initiating this venture as long as I exert diligent effort. Lastly, I trusted my instincts throughout this decision-making process (Boyles, 2022).

3- The result was quite surprising as my experience in Public Relations allowed me to interact with individuals from various industries. Consequently, I have tendered my resignation with a two-week notice.I have established a business and will be finalizing my first agreement on May 17th. Without any reservations, I am eager to embark on this new phase of my life.

After encountering challenges in my workplace of over two decades, I reached the definitive conclusion to complete my degree. I elected to pursue full-time studies while working part-time. Subsequently, an opportunity arose for me to establish my own business. Securing my initial contract enabled me to tender my resignation from my current position. I am eagerly anticipating the commencement of this new phase in my career.

4- It is recommended that there exist numerous solutions to a given problem (UMGC, 2024). Taking the time to carefully strategize for both the short and long term is essential. Demonstrating patience is vital in successfully overcoming any obstacle.
