The story that I will be writing about is the recent contract dispute between Youtube TV and Disney. With streaming subscriptions at an all time high YoutubeTV has become a very popular avenue for people to get their cable TV. With their rising popular with consumers Youtube has entered a contract dispute with hopes of renegotiating the terms of the contract that they have with Disney and the prices that they are paying compared to other TV services for distributing Disney's content on their multitude of channels that they own. I think that since Youtube is distributing Disney's content that it is completely fair for Youtube to seek competitive prices that other TV services are receiving from Disney. Is it fair for Disney to charge Youtube a higher rate than other TV providers? If Youtube TV stopped paying Disney and stopped the distribution of Disney programming would it be considered a breach of contract?
