in my opinion, a positive correlation is when two variables are parallel. and they move accordingly based on the inuence of the other variable and this \"change in move or action\" is consistent with what the other variable does. for example. this can be used in our world, considering our ination problems in 2021. as the government prints more money, the value of U.S dollar will decrease because, a printed money holds no value. therefore. it will lessen the current valuation of our monetary system. a Negative correlation on the other hand, is when two variables are not consistent with each other. a good example of this, would be the housing market. even with a rapidly increasing surge of homebuyers. the pricing of homes across California still continuously accelerates. that is the case even with the inux of homebuyers. it doesn't make sense from the outer view point. but it will make sense once other factors are counted into the equation such as the price of lumber. location, and quality of builders. regardiess, still a good example of negative correlation. No correlation on the other hand would be a good example of the stock market. in the stock market, there is something called "iiutures'i the "futures" predetermine how much will certain stocks increase by the time stock market opens up. for example, "futures" could be predicting that QQQ stock ( a compilation of big tech companies. amazon, google. facebook) will be up +3.89% tomorrow and then the next day comes in. it's 9:30 am and then it shows that QQQ stock is down -0.17%. maybe because of a news regarding chip shortages. so, futureIs and stock prices is a good zero correlation example. 6' Reply
