Please respond to the following discussion about the two terms described, please cite response.
For my two terms, I have chosen entropy and the carnot process. I chose these particularly because I have no prior experience with these and want to learn more. Entropy is essentially the level of disorder in a system, or how much energy deficiency there is in order to do work. It can sometimes be used in everyday conversations to describe disorganization. The Carnot process is the process of transforming a liquid in order to do work, such as with steam turbines, where water is heated up in order to expand and push the turbine. This term, unlike the first, is almost never used commonly due to its specificity. Both of these terms are important due to understanding thermal energy concepts as say, for instance, the carnot process does not occur in a steam generator due to a fault, causes entropy, as there is not enough energy to continue work. The definition does not differ much for entropy between technical and everyday, but rather the level of definition changes, as the difference between energy defecit vs disorganized and unprepared. The carnot process however, is the same due to again, its specific nature.(wk6 physic discuss Cory)
