  • Find the probability that the individual selected opposes the proposed ban

Answer P(E) = 3540/5000=0.708

  • Find the probability that the individqual selected is a student.

Answer P(E) = 4700/5000=0.94

  • Find the probability that the individual selected is a student and opposes the proposed ban

Answer I believe should be P(E) = 3500/5000=0.7

  • Find the probability that the individual selected is faculty or supports the proposed ban

Answer (this is where I begin to question myself?) P(E) = 250/5000=0.05

Or should I have used P(B|A) = 250/300=0.8333? or P(E) 300/5000=0.06 then 1250/5000=0.25 then 0.06+0.25=0.31

Can you help I am getting lost in the wording?
