Normal No Spacing Heading 1 I Heading 2 5. (10 points) You do not need to solve this problem. Only answer the questions at the end. Tony has decided to purchase a car. The car cost $30,000 today. However, Tony does not have $30,000. He can get a five-year loan from his credit union to purchase the car. If he takes the loan, he will need to pay the credit union $542.40 for 60 months. Tony decides to go to the credit union and pick up the check. Then he will go to the dealer and pick up his new automobile. Your financial calculator has three buttons for dollar amounts: Present Value (PV) Payment (PMT) Future Value (FV) For this problem, which of these three buttons will be used and for what amounts? Explain. 6. (10 points) Melissa just graduated from college. For the past two years, she was working while going to college and earning $15,000 a year. Although, she did not have any children yet, she only had just enough to pay her bills and have an occasional night out with friends. By graduating, she received a promotion that came with a substantial difference in pay. She was excited that her pay was now almost quadrupled! She realized that after mandatory taxes, her take home pay would only be about $45,000 a year. Also, she would have to increase her clothing budget and include student loan payments as part of her bills. Assume all of her new expenses are only $10,000 a year more than they were when she was in college. Give Melissa a recommendation that you believe Kevin Smith would agree with (he is the author of the "Pay Yourself First" article in Stock Trak). Write at least a paragraph and try to be specific using dollar amounts to help Melissa understand his advice
