A large compressor is located at the corner of a rectangular room 8m8m4m high. Since the room was built of different materials, the coefficient of absorption varies for the sides, the roof and the floor: concrete block sides =0.30; plywood roof =0.15; and concrete floor =0.08. The sound power level is 105dB. a. Calculate the noise level (sound pressure level) at 1.5m from the compressor and middle of the room (about 3m from the compressor). b. If a second compressor unit is located at the other end corner with a sound power level of 101dB, what is the combined noise level (sound pressure level) at the center of the room? (15 points)
