Please show all work and label any formulas usedI am extremely confused with how x is applied in this equation. I know the area for a rectangle is A = xy. Then I can solve for y be isolating it in x^2 + y^2 = 8. But then x is left as x. Why is it left alone, why would I not isolate it like y? Thanks!
