Currently, you sell 40,000 units of a product for $45 each. The unit variable cost of producing the product is $5. You are thinking of cutting the product price by 30%. You are sure this will increase sales by an amount from 10% to 50%. Perform a sensitivity analysis with Data Table function to show how profit will change as a function of the percentage increase (5% incremental increase at a time) in sales. Ignore fixed costs. current sales in units current price per unit $ unit cost $ price cut percentage sales increase 40000 45.00 5.00 30% 30% new profit You should calculate the new profit based on the reduced price, 30% lower than the current price of $45. When price is lower, you are able to sell more units. Given the new price, $31.5, your sales will increase from 40,000 units to 40,000 units * (1+3) = 52,000 units. Thus, your new profit is based on new price, 31.5 and new sales 52,000 units. You will then change the % increase in Sales from 10%, 15%, 20%, ... 60% and use the sensitivity analysis to calculate new profit
