John is a shoe dealer and one Saturday in December 2020, he put a pair of shoes at the window of his shop with a sign, which stated 'exceptional piece of 21th century shoes -- on offer for RM500'. Albert visited John's shop and said he would like the pair of shoes but was only willing to pay RM400 for it. John replied that he would accept RM450 for the pair of shoes, but Albert insisted that he was only willing to pay RM400 and left the shop. However, on his journey home Albert realized that RM450 was actually a very good price for the pair of shoes and he immediately wrote to John agreeing to buy it for that price. His letter was posted at 12:30 pm. On Monday morning, John received the letter from Albert but John has sold the shoes to Peter.
