Please solve the following questions using Hypothesis Testing by following the steps.

Steps in hypothesis testing:

1. Formulate the null hypothesis and alternative hypothesis.

2. Choose a level of significance to be used.

3. Decide the test statistics to be used, and find the critical value for the test.

4. Compute for the value of the test statistics.

5. Make decision whether to reject or fail to reject the null hypothesis.

6. State the conclusion.

1. Brand A perfume claims that their fragrance lasts longer than from Brand B. To prove if the claim is true, a test was conducted. Twelve perfumes from Brand A and 15 perfumes from Brand B were used. It is found that the fragrance of Brand A perfume lasts no longer than 8 hours while the fragrance of Brand B perfume lasts for 6.3 hours, both with standard deviation of 5 hours. Is the claim of Brand A perfume true? Use 0.01 as a level of significance.

2. The manufacturer of soap claims that the average weight of detergent soap per pack is 200 grams. A retailer sampled 20packs of this soap and got an average weight of 198.7 grams and a standard deviation of 5 grams. Is the claim of the manufacturer valid at 5% level of significance?
