Burhan sues Arjun for battery and court awarded Burhan the general sum of

RM200,000. Burhan is not happy with the sum awarded and appeals for a sum of

RM400,000. Arjun is also dissatisfied with the decision and wants to appeal as he

contends that Burhan is contributorily liable for the battery. Arjun cross appeals for a

sum of RM300,000.

Explain as to Burhan's and Arjun's appeals.
