1. A ball is thrown in the air at an angle of 40 to the ground. If the maximum height it reaches is 10 m, what is the ball's initial velocity? (Take Earth's gravity as 9.81 ml?) (10 points) 2. You hit a ball horizontally from the top of a cliff that is 80m tall. The ball has an initial velocity of 10.0m/s. What is the horizontal range of the ball? (10 points} 3. Two objects, with the same size and weight, are thrown from the top of a building at the same time. Standing on the edge of the roof, the first is thrown straight down the side of the building with an initial velocity of 2.5m/s while the second is thrown at 5.0m/s at an angle 30 below horizontal. Which will hit the ground first if the building is 60m high? (10 points)
