Please use the following information for the following 4 questions (Q1-Q4): Your organization has decided to overhaul their budgeting process. Traditionally, the CEO made the budget and gave it to each department, but now the organization has grown too large for that work to be done by just the CEO. You have been called to a meeting where top management is discussing different budget options to adopt going forward. Please help out the various managers by contributing to the budget discussions. A) The CEO starts by saying to you, "You're an expert on budgets so I have a question for you. My biggest concern is making sure our different segments are working together well instead of working against each other. How might budgets help with that?" Answer the CEO's question. Give an example of how preparing a budget can lead to coordinating activity across different departments or segments in an organization.. B) One manager says, "I remember seeing a YouTube video on participative budgeting once. I don't remember any of the details but I do remember it being a very good video. Maybe we can try that!" Help the manager out. What is participative budgeting? How is it different from traditional budgeting processes? What are the advantages and disadvantages of this method? C) Another manager says, "When I was driving to work, I asked Google what are the biggest issues with budgets. Google said to watch out for something called 'budgetary slack' - apparently managers like to build that into their budgets." Help the manager out. What is budgetary slack? Why might managers put it into their budgets? Why might an organizatiom want budgetary slack? Why might it want to avoid budgetary slack? D) Briefly, what action do you recommend the managers take to fix their budgets? Is there another form of budgeting which they might want to consider
