Grocery Bag Project Report Guide (15 points) Scope of your report Your instructor collected several types of data for this project. My dependent variable was the type of grocery bag used. I collected data for several independent variable choices. These were: type of grocery store: I collected data from three local grocery stores (the names used here are fictitious). MegaFoods is a multi-state chain. Kramer's is a multi-state chain. MegaFoods and Kramer's are comparable in size and range of items offered. Local's Market is a local, independent store. It is smaller than the other two stores. All data were collected on the same day and within a two-hour window. It took about 25 minutes to observe 50 customers exiting each store. I collected data while sitting in my car (thus I did not interact with customers) and watching the main door of the store. If I could not clearly see the type of bag used, I did not include the customer in my count. To be separate customers, the individuals had to go to separate vehicles.
