Please write a thought provoking response to this student's submission:
The South Korean economy is facing a recessionary gap.We know this, because, "The bank said it now expects South Korea's gross domestic product to shrink 0.2% for 2020, compared with its February projection of 2.1% growth."The central bank uses monetary policies like changing interest rates to adjust for inflation or deflation. In South Korea's case since they had a recessionary gap, they lower interest rates to stabilize and increase money in the economy.
The government should use their fiscal policies to decrease taxes.By decreasing taxes the people have more money to use and spend to stimulate the economy.
South Korea should increase government spending.By increasing government spending you are giving more money to the people to stimulate growth in the economy.South Korea should buy back more bonds to put more money back into the economy as well as working on the infrastructure of South Korea by hiring unemployed workers and giving them jobs.By giving them jobs they earn a wage to spend more money driving the economy away from a recession.
