The Truth About Streaming Services In today's era streaming services have been on the rise. Many people rely on these services because of the inability to go to any theater or other live performances. This interview is to understand What is a streaming service, and what are all the different and most used ones. Well First, there are traditional TV shows that are "streamed" Then we have movies-on-demand that are also "streamed". There are many streaming services but there are some that are today's essentials. YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, are some of the top streaming services of today with some of the same techniques, but to find in this interview they are all different. When it comes to what most people think about streaming, and why they choose the streaming services they do, I had to find a few of my family that are different in age but were within the same generation to get an understanding. Let's get to understand.  Before conducting this interview, I had to find 3 people of the age group of 18-25 years old to understand why and what do they like about streaming services. The difference and similarities these three individuals had was also my aim in understanding why they enjoyed the streaming services they choose. I spoke with three of my nieces and nephew, 2 in the states and one abroad in Africa. So, two males one being in Africa age 25 and another a resident of the states age 23 and one female also a resident of the state's age 21. When reaching out to them I gave them a brief understanding of what was to be asked of them and they were interested in participating in my interview. I had my nephew and niece that were in the state drive by my house, and we sat, and the other nephew in Africa I interviewed him on zoom. I asked them some of the questions and they gave responses to help me understand "streaming services" and how they are so popular nowadays in this generation. Being that there are numerous streaming applications on smartphones like Netflix U, and Disney+ Hotstar, for example. We discussed which service offered no monthly fees but offer many shows from different series and Which did offer monthly fees with the same perks. We also discussed what's their favorite streaming service and do they offer original content created specifically for children, new movies, and TV shows. Being that I was only interviewing three individuals, data wasn't that hard to gather. It was easy, I sat one on one with everyone being in-person or on zoom and asked some simple questions. The First interviewee Was Abraham the male individual age 23 living in the states. Abraham introduced himself and let me know the common things about himself, Age, Level of Schooling, and location. We then got to the point of the task at hand. I first started off by asking Abraham does he use streaming services? And if so, does he prefer such as cable or satellite television? He said he uses many different streaming services, and he prefers streaming services over cable and satellite tv. We went on with multiple other questions which were answered by Abraham. Through the interview with Abraham, I understood what streaming services he used and which ones he enjoyed. He went on and on about how much he enjoyed the fact streaming services were a blessing to have in today's society especially covid times. I then asked Mariam some of the same questions I asked Abraham, but some were different. She explained to me her age her level of school and if she had, and what streaming service she uses.  We talked more about if she rather use her streaming services rather than cable and other satellite television. Being in college Mariam doesn't really have the time to watch all the shows she wants but when she's free she binges most of her shows and she says she enjoys a good binge. After my talk with , I went to the computer and zoomed my nephew who was in Africa Momolu age 25. I asked him the same types of questions I asked Abraham and Mariam. He gave me answers and explained to me his idea on the best and most used streaming services. He also explained how being in another country and his financial situation it was hard to keep up with his favorite shows from time to time trying to find a good internet signal though he loved streaming services. Gathering all this data I was able to somewhat able to understand why and how people can select the streaming services they use. I also came to somewhat understand the difference in the age groups on what streaming services they select and why they select the certain shows and movies they watch. The data I gathered showed that kids from 18-21 were more on Netflix and wanted to watch movies and shows their friends were watching. Kids from 21-23 wanted the same as kids 18-21 but most of them wanted the ability to have live tv so they had multiple other streaming services that offered live streaming. Individuals from ages 21-26 wanted all the same as 21-23 age and the 18-21 age but rather have a streaming service that has classic tv and movies from their childhood. Gathering this data helped me understand the somewhat mind of these individuals on their selection of why and what streaming services they use. Haven't gathered and analyzed this data I was also able to use it to understand the most liked and most used streaming services by all three different age groups. While experience as a researcher I found that there are thousands of different streaming services. As a researcher, I was able to see the many different opportunities streaming services allows on how we're able to have on-demand and unlimited ability of movies of their collections and the ability to simply have fun and be able to search for movies and shows we enjoy. As a researcher, I was also able to see how streaming allows us to follow our favorite actors or singers at a moment's reach. As a researcher interviewing these individuals gave me the ability to test my people's skills and change the narration from being the one interviewed to the one now interviewing. Being and experiencing the role of a researcher I really didn't find any difficulty using any of the objectivity I had. It was easy to get the three people I had to talk to and when I got them to talk, they didn't quite want to stop talking; they were so interested in being interviewed. After conducting this interview, I was able to see how streaming affects people. An older number of individuals are very concerned about the use of streaming services on the youth and gathering it seemed like almost 2/3 of the youth population had some sort of streaming services. This research really helped me with the conclusion of why and what streaming services are most used and most watched by the three age groups I researched. This research helped the understanding of the reason and the choice of what streaming services are used by the different age groups. Some kids like Netflix more some kids like Hulu more some kids are just simple and rather just watch YouTube. I never quite understood the streaming services and how they really worked until doing this research and being able to interview individuals of the youth to help give me an understanding of these topics. Since there are an array of streaming services out in this beautiful www gathering this research I was able to understand and talk about why some are mostly used and why some are not. Also, why do some age groups prefer one streaming service, and why ?
