Police subculture is known to affect the ways officers behave. In this paper you will need to examine ways in which police subculture could adapt to help bridge some of the gaps existing between police and communities. Explain ethical considerations that could become part of the subculture and how those might influence officers' actions. This is not an opinion paper, so you will need to cite appropriate sources for information you include. Please note that Wikipedia is not a source. News articles may be included for illustration, but it is best to use academic sources from peer-reviewed journals. A comprehensive collection of academic journals is available online from the UTC Library.

Your paper must be four hundred words in length, not including titles or references. The paper must be in Times New Roman 12 pt font with one inch margins. You must cite your sources in APA style. Submissions must be made in a Microsoft Word format. No PDFs will be accepted. Please refer to the syllabus for information concerning and late submissions. You specifically may not use a previously submitted paper in whole or in part for this assignment. Doing so will result in a grade of zero for the assignment.
