And you have been invited by the president of COP 27 to present your arguments to the members on why the UK government should not lift the ban on fracking. Though the UK government is aware of the consequences of fracking on the environment and the people. At the moment the government is handicapped due to the Ukraine-Russia war which has led to soaring energy prices. And the government is looking for alternative means to provide a stable energy supply to the people of the UK and to reduce the cost of energy. Your task is to present a solid convincing argument to the members to help press the UK government to rescind its decision.
