The portfolio is taken on a job interview to the early childhood education program. The portfolio is also a tool to document professional growth activities as required by the Child Development Permit Matrix.

  1. Leadership statement: Outline the significant relationships and events in your life at work and home, which motivated you to want to pursue a career in early childhood education administration.
  2. Program mission statement: Provide a mission statement for your program
  3. Program staffing policies and procedures. Provide a summary of the staffing policies and procedures.
  4. Curriculum philosophy: Provide a statement of your program's curriculum philosophy. Indicate the curriculum approach you plan to use in your program.
  5. A menu: Provide a sample menu for your early childhood program.
  6. A sample budget: Provide a sample budget for an early childhood program.
  7. Child assessment policy and procedures: Provide your policies and procedures around child assessment.
  8. Family partnerships statement: A statement of how the program works with families
