This portfolio is designed specifically for an external audience, one that will make a career choice based on its contents and other criteria. The portfolio is taken on a job interview to the early childhood education program. The portfolio is also a tool to document professional growth activities as required by the Child Development Permit Matrix.
- Leadership statement: Outline the significant relationships and events in your life at work and home, which motivated you to want to pursue a career in early childhood education administration.
- Program mission statement: Provide a mission statement for your program
- Program staffing policies and procedures. Provide a summary of the staffing policies and procedures.
- Curriculum philosophy: Provide a statement of your program's curriculum philosophy. Indicate the curriculum approach you plan to use in your program.
- A menu: Provide a sample menu for your early childhood program.
- A sample budget: Provide a sample budget for an early childhood program.
- Child assessment policy and procedures: Provide your policies and procedures around child assessment.
