1) Download and save the following file from moodle: A10 Ch_09_Raw_Data.xlsx
2) Open Power BI and open a new workbook.
a) Then using Get Data load the above Excel File and select all check boxes presented
in this process.
b) Save this file as A10T00xxxxxxSurname.pbix
c) Review the data uploaded for any issues and correct them before proceeding below.
Note: the Excel file is not to be altered all work is to be completed in Power BI only

Why is this data important, and what questions or problems need to be addressed?
Human resources (HR) data gives the business valuable insights into the company
corporate culture, as it shows the current employee makeup and retention efforts.
Analysis of this data helps in identifying areas of the company that are not diverse or
inclusive, have a high turnover rate, or have employees who are nearing retirement age,
which could mean a knowledge loss unless there is a succession plan in place.

What data is needed, and how should it be analyzed?
Data needed to answer the objective is pulled from Julias Cookies HR database. In most
companies, the HR database contains not only data about employee demographics but
payroll information. This data, however, is not available to everyone in the company,
and the individuals who do have access to the HR data have different levels of access.
For example, very few people in the company can view payroll data, as that is considered
confidential, while all employees are able to view employees full names, their
supervisors names, and their departments.
