*Prepare the cost of goods sold budget.

As part of a major assignment I need to complete these steps amongst others, I just want/need to know the following; As part of the question/information I have calculated that the direct materials current purchasing costs differ to those previously purchased, there are 2 different direct materials (metal and wood) and the beginning inventory carries a different price paid, the metal cost slightly less for the previously purchased inventory and the wood slightly more. Where and how would I account for those changes in price in the budget? What would be the best format to use and what part of the budget does this need to be included in. The company uses a first in first out method of cost calculation for direct materials.
