The report for the Repeated Measures ANOVA should provide the following:

A cover sheet with the following 5 elements:

1. A brief statement of the problem that clearly identifies the independent and

dependent variables, the nature of the data, the sample and the implied

population sampled.

2. The null and alternative hypothesis in terms specific to this problem.

3. Your statistical results indicating whether the results are significant or

nonsignificant.

Make certain you present both your data and your statistics.

The descriptive data can easily be presented in tabular form and on a graph by

copying the appropriate table and graph from the SPSS Output and including

it in your results section.

4. An explanation of the results for each test for "Grandma;" (i.e., in plain

English explaining your findings in terms a non-statistician can easily

understand).

Here it is especially important that you describe the pattern of

differences

that you found in your results.

5. A clear statement explaining why in each case that the test used was the "test

of choice" for this problem.

Were you looking for a difference, a relationship

or a pattern?

How many groups or variables were compared - two or more

than two?

Were the data ratio/interval (parametric) or ordinal/nominal

(nonparametric)?

Which statistical test is the most powerful, yet fits any

restrictions on the data (e.g., homogeneity of variance, sphericity, frequency

counts, etc.)?
