Find out the training that you need to have, degrees or schooling available, description of job - in detail, average pay (a range, starting salary, median salary, benefits), and where you would work. You may need to include a discussion of different degrees (such as Masters vs. Ph.D. vs. Ed.D. vs. Psy.D., vs. professional certificates, continuing education (CE) etc.), licensing issues (how to get one and what is needed to maintain a license), graduate school admissions standards (GPA, GRE) and other prerequisites (undergraduate courses, scholarly research experience, courses to take in a graduate program, service), etc.

This should address both the current and future horizon (short and long term opportunities) for this career and related jobs. Look at how COVID-19 has affected many people's careers and the job market worldwide.

J. MENTORS AND ROLE MODELS
Section J - Option 1 - REAL INTERVIEW
For this section, you will also need to briefly talk to someone in the field (for example, a head/chair/manager of a program, someone who already has this type of job, etc.). This type of an "interview" does not have to be done face-to-face. You do this via email, text, virtual platforms, etc.

Section J - Option 2 - HYPOTHETICAL INTERVIEW (AFFECTIVE FORECASTING)
Given that we are still very much impacted by COVID19, you may also satisfy this section by simulating an interview process as a function of expectations. This option was developed from feedback from past semester students who were limited from doing interviews as a function of various past (and now current) COVID19 restrictions.
For this option, first imagine and describe the professional in this field that you would ideally wish to interview.
Then, write about what you would ask this person.
What would you expect to hear and learn from the interview?
What would you want or hope to hear and gain from the interview?
What would you hope to NOT hear or learn from the interview?
How might such an interview help to prepare you for both the potential good and bad aspects of your future career goal?

Discuss what you perceive will be the most challenging (difficult) aspects of your career path (your professional development process - includes education, training, job search, career entry, on job learning, etc.)
Discuss what you perceive will be the most rewarding (pleasant and exciting) aspects of your career path (your professional development process - includes education, training, job search, career entry, on the job training/learning, etc.)
L. PROSPECTIVE ISSUES - YOUR CAREER EXPERIENCES - AFFECTIVE (EMOTIONAL) FORECASTING
Discuss what you perceive will be the most rewarding aspects of your future career position
Discuss what you perceive will be the most challenging (difficult) aspects of your future CareerLife Management and Homeostasis (BALANCE)
Think about and discuss how you will balance your career and other aspects of your personal, family, and nonwork life
What might be some key issues and challenges associated with this career related issue?
M. PROSPECTIVE ISSUES - YOUR CAREER-RELATED CHEERS AND FEARS
Graduating and moving on with your life is exciting. It is also scary to face new forks in the road and dealing with new decisions with unknown variables. Erik Erikson wrote on this (especially in terms of identity in adolescence and young adulthood). The Chinese approach this from the standpoint of both an opportunity and danger. This is universal among all humans COVID19 has also created so much uncertainty for some people. Briefly address the following:
What excites you and what you look forward to about life after VSU and in your career
What may make you feel anxious, fearful, or even terrified about your life and your career after VSU.
N. PROSPECTIVE ISSUES - YOUR CAREER-RELATED CRYSTAL BALL
Careerwise and professionally, where and how do hopefully you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 15 years? 20 years, 25 years, 30 years, and beyond?
RELATE YOUR PROSPECTIVE IDEAS (PREDICTIONS, VISIONS, HOPES, DREAMS, EMOTIONS, AND CONCERNS) TO YOUR POTENTIAL FUTURE CAREER. THIS IS NOT EASY!
