You will need to complete the School Counselor Competency Assessment to establish your current skills, attitudes, and knowledge (found in your text on pp. 95-102). REMINDER: There are no "right" or "wrong" answers. You are beginning the school counseling program and you may have limited knowledge of the school counseling profession. This assessment is intended for demonstration purposes only; you are not expected to have mastery of the knowledge or skills of school counselors. By completing the assessment, I hope you get a sense of the scope and breadth of the school counseling program. I also hope you get a better understanding of how being a school counselor gives us the opportunity for impactful positive social change...what we at Walden stand for!
