Prior to taking this Capstone advanced accounting course I was convinced that I wanted to start a master's in accounting in the fall and the 30 credits acquired would satisfy Maryland's requirement for an additional 30 credits needed for CPA . I struggled in this class a lot the work was a bit harder, and I had a full load 15 credits plus working full time. I am not sure about the CPA route anymore, but my CPA friends keep telling me that real life accounting in the workplace is not like this who knows. I have 12 more credits to go before I graduate this summer my remaining classes are Federal income tax 417, International accounting, Business ethics and writing for managers. Would a master's in taxation satisfy the CPA requirement? I tried to check under UMGC I don't see it. Would you recommend this program for someone that already has a Tax office or the CPA route. thank you All the best to everyone
