Problem 1 (20%) Pelosi Inc. acquired a gas station on January 1, 2015, and leased it to Meadows Co. The lease commenced immediately on Jan. 1, 2015 and would last 5 years. The annual lease payment was to be $141,000, including $2,500 for repairs and maintenance, at the beginning of each of the 5 years. As well, the lease granted Meadows Co. an option to purchase the gas station at $100,000 at the end of the lease when the gas station was expected to be worth $130,000. Pelosi Inc.'s rate of return on the lease was 8% (before taxes). Pelosi Inc. had a Dec. 31 fiscal year-end. Required: (1) Prepare each journal entry Pelosi was required to make on January 1, 2015. (2) Prepare a lessor lease amortization schedule for Pelosi Inc. for the lease term (5 years). (3) Prepare each journal entry Pelosi Inc. was required to make in 2015 after January 1. (4) Prepare each journal entry Pelosi Inc. was required to make in 2019 (the last year of the lease). Assume that Meadows exercised the option to purchase the gas station
