Problem 1: In a study looking at the distribution of Golden-cheeked Warblers, Coldren (1998) classified the area within each patch of warbler habitat into 6 classes based on their distance to the edge. Within each distance class, the number of territories were tallied, based on the location of each territorial center. Additionally, all patches were classified based on their size. 1. Calculate the expected values for all patches, and within each patch size class. 2. Calculate the Chi-Square value, along with the partial Chi-Square values. 3. Find the critical Chi-Square value from the table. 4. Using Chi-Square test with a = 0.05, determine whether you should accept or reject the null hypothesis for all patches, and within each patch size class. 5.
