Units started during the year amounted to 250,000 units while total manufactured and completed units amounted to 240,000 units. b. There is no spoilage during the year. Total manufacturing cost for the period consisted of P600,000 for direct material, P1,500,000 for direct labor and 1,200,000 for overhead. d. It is the company's policy to add 80% of direct materials at the start of production and the remaining is added by the time it is completed. e. Ending inventory is 80% complete as to direct labor and 40% as to overhead. During the second year 2017, the following data were gathered: a. Units started consists of 290,000 units and at the end of the period, only 60,000 units were left, and these units were 20% complete as to direct labor and 0% complete as to overhead. b. Current costs include P800,000 for direct materials, P1,600,000 for direct labor and P1,100,000 for overhead. c. There is no spoilage for the year. Required: 1.
