Problem 3 (28 marks) A company markets its products by direct mail. The Six Sigma team is investigating important causes of lost sales over the past six months. An experiment was conducted to study the effects of three factors on the customer response rate for a particular product. The three factors are A: type of descriptive brochure (cantor, black-and-white), B: type of mait used (31d class, lSt class), and C=oered price ($19, $24). The mailings are made to four groups of customers, where each group is considered as a replicate. The response variable is the number of orders placed. The collected data were then statistically analyzed by ANDVA method where the results are (partly) presented in the following table: Source of variation - M's-cm S: uare i F Pvalua 2562.94
