Problem 3: A school administrator wants to test the hypothesis that the grades students anticipate receiving in their classes are related to, and may help to predict, the ratings the students give to their teachers when filling out the teaching evaluations. Each of 12 randomly selected students indicated the grade he or she anticipated receiving in a course and rated the instructor of the course. The anticipated grades were transformed into numerical scores as follows: A = 4, B=3, C=2, D= 1, and F = 0. The rating of the instructor was made on a scale from one to five (the higher the score the more favorable the rating).
