Problem 4 (20 pts) You are hanging your head out of your 6th floor office window holding a doughnut, enjoying your coffee break. Directly below your window, a stuntman is shot straight up out of a cannon. The noise of the cannon fire startles you so that you drop your doughnut at the same instant the stuntman leaves the cannon 20 meters below. The situation is such that the dropped doughnut and the stuntman will collide. If the stuntman leaves the cannon with a speed of 12.5 m/s, at what height do the doughnut and the stuntman meet? Both the stuntman and the donut behave like any other object in gravity. a) (10 pts) Sketch a picture of the situation and choose a coordinate system, assigning symbols at the important events. Leave the math to solve the problem until part b). b) (5 pts) Solve the problem to find where stuntman and donut meet. c) (5 pts) Finally, sketch the position vs. time graph for doughnut and stuntman. Label your graph with numbers. (You may want to find the speed of the stuntman when he meets the doughnut.) y MacBook Pro
