Problem 5. Please refer "CO2 emissions (metric tons per capita) in 2011" data in "HW#1_Data" (MS Excel). Suppose that the smallest possible change of emissions is 0.01 metric tons. In addition, we assume that the class width is five and the lower class limit of the first class is zero. (a) Generate a frequency table and a histogram using MS Excel. (b) What is the lower class boundary for the third class? (c) What is the upper class boundary for the fourth class? (d) Is the distribution shape symmetric, uniform, skewed to the left, or skewed to the right?

Problem 6. Please refer "CO2 emissions (metric tons per capita) in 2011" data in "HW#1_Data" (MS Excel). (a) Find the mean and median. (b) Suppose the data includes all countries in the world. Find the range, variance, and standard deviation.

Problem 7. Please refer two data sets in "HW#1_Data" (MS Excel): "CO2 emissions (metric tons per capita) in 2011" and "GDP per Capita (in USD) in 2011". (a) Draw a scatterplot. (b) Find the correlation coefficient between CO2 emissions per capita and GDP per capita.
