Research Scenario: A clinical psychologist specializing in anxiety disorders develops a new treatment for patients with snake phobia. Patients in her program complete the shortened version of the Snake Questionnaire (SNAQ-12; Zsido et al., 2018) before treatment, a scale where higher scores indicate higher severity of snake phobia. They then complete the program and are evaluated again with the SNAQ-12 after treatment. The before and after scores are listed in the table below. Is there a significant decrease in SNAQ-12 scores after treatment as compared to before?
