Problem Statement: Preventing errors in aircraft maintenance is critical to maintaining the integrity of the aviation safety system. Past investigation on errors made by maintenance personnel found fatigue to be one of the top contributing factors.

Intent: Determine the leading human factor human factor cause of incidents reported by maintenance personnel.

Research Question: Which human factor is the most common contributor to incidents reported maintenance personnel?

Hypothesis: Fatigue is the leading contributing Human Factor to incidents reported over a ten-year period by maintenance personnel.

Data: To test the hypothesis data of incidents reported by maintenance technicians over a 10-year period, 2009 to 2019 will be analyzed.

Statistical Test: I plan to use an ANOVA test.

If you are going to examine the accidents rates differences over the 11 years using ANOVA by assuming that accident occurrences by year are independent, how are you going to account for human factor contribution to accident occurrences in this case? You also need to clearly identify your research/alternative hypothesis and null hypothesis.
