Problems

1.On 8.23.17, the night before the Powerball lottery results were announced, a man posted ( and then deleted) the following Tweet:

"If I win, 10 people who RT this tweet will get $1,000,000 each. Worth a chance #Powerball".

Hundreds of people retweeted the posting. If the poster had won the Powerball (he didn't), would his promise have been enforceable?

2.The following set of communications was exchanged between Owner and Customer:

Owner placed an ad in the newspaper asking payment in cash for 40 acres of land, "vicinity: Greenwood, Colorado."

Customer sent letter expressing interest, asking for more details.

Owner sent Customer a flyer describing the property, giving the location, and stating the price.

Customer replied by letter stating he was not sure he found the property, asking for its legal description, and suggesting a certain bank as escrow agent.

Owner wrote back stating that " it sounds like you found the correct lot," that Customer's bank is acceptable as an escrow agent and that customer " must decided fast if you are really interested in purchasing the land because I expect to have a buyer n the next week or so." Two days later, Owner sold the land to a third party.

Not knowing that Owner already sold the property, Customer replied to Owner's letter, saying that he was proceeding to deposit the purchase price immediately with the escrow agent.

When Customer discovered that owner sold the land to a third party, he brought an action against Owner for breach of contract. Did owner make an offer to sell the property? If so, in which communication? Did Customer make an offer to buy the property? If so, in which communication? Why are the other communications not offers?
