Program Logic Model Assignment Specifications

Always include a cover page for all assignments

Include the following elements

1) Short Introduction describing the project/program

2) Program Logic Model Table

With the following columns

i. Unique number

ii. Stakeholder

iii. Inputs

iv. Activities

v. Outputs

vi. Outcomes

vii. Medium term Impacts

viii. Long term Impacts

The rows will include each stakeholder from the Stakeholder analysis

Uniquely number rows

Start with listing the Stakeholders from the Stakeholder analysis in the first column

Next map Theory of Change elements and Program Logic Model Table Cells.

Many if not all the elements from the Theory of Change will map to a Program Logic Model Table Cell.

i.e., top to bottom Theory of Change elements will map Right to Left for Program Logic Model Table cells

And then complete the table by filling in any cells that have gaps.

Not all cells need to be filled, but the majority should include brief content

Use arrows and other elements to make the flow of connections between cells clearer.

Prioritize clarity over complexity

Duplicate a particular stakeholder across multiple rows for clarity when required

IF your Stakeholder Analysis assignment received a 'change project' or 'plagiarism' comment obviously don't use the same stakeholders

The table should fit on one page, at most two, use brief text, landscape format, etc. to ensure the table fits on one or at most two pages.

An excel spreadsheet or a pdf of a spreadsheet as a separate file are OK but ensure there is a clear and unambiguous mapping between each table row and text paragraph.

If two separate documents are submitted, if there is any ambiguity in mapping each table row and text paragraph, the paragraph section shall receive a mark of ZERO.

3) Paragraph description

Use the unique numbering system from the table to number the paragraphs

Label each paragraph with a suitable heading that is descriptive enough for the reader to understand what the paragraph is all about

Each row on each cell should be explained in a paragraph with complete sentences, not bullet points.

So, if your table has 15 rows, there should be 15 paragraphs of text.

The paragraphs should make the connections between cells crystal clear

In many cases content from the text paragraphs from the Theory of Change can be revised and reused

Add any references in APA format
