One case must relate directly to Standard 4 in the Mississippi Code of Ethics (MSCoE), one case must relate directly to Standard 7, and one case must relate to one of the remaining standards that is the most impactful to your teaching context. (i have provided a copy of each standard below)
  • Presentation of Court Case
    • Synopsis of the Standard: DO NOT copy the standard verbatim! Synthesize all the parts into two or three precise, accurate summary statements.
    • Identify the Court Case: Copy and paste the title of the case. Provide an active URL link to your case. Include the date of the case.
    • Action Sought: As stated in the court case
    • Facts of the case: Identify the facts of the case. DO NOT copy statements verbatim from the case. Include the following information: root cause of the legal action, who was involved (plaintiffs and defendants), facts that led to the dispute, the final court ruling
