Project assignment:

You will plan for an implementation of "Student X-Trail Walk" in University of Houston during an afternoon / evening during the last week in September 2021 including a party with an accompanying award ceremony.

Participants must be a maximum of 500 students from the University of Houston, who register in teams of 3-5 students.

The student union in Houston stands as the organizer.

Aims to strengthen relations between students in Houston (which experienced a decrease due to the Corona pandemic 2020/2021) and promote experiences and exercise.

The walking and running should be a "fun and exciting activity", but free from alcohol, consisting of different competition events along the course.

During the evening, the union premises are there for the use of the permit for serving drinks / food that are there.

The feasibility study covers everything that happens from the person deciding to carry out the project until the event is completed and all follow-up work is done. You get to explore ideas about what the event should contain and how it should be planned and implemented.

Your work is a feasibility study in the project that results in a Preliminary Project Plan and we intend to present it to the Student Union's board, which shall make decisions on the actual implementation.

All work in the project must be carried out under its own auspices, i.e. no services, such as catering, cleaning, etc., may be used. Of course you have to get external entertainment. Financially, the University and the student union contribute together with 2500 $. Students in the project organization are compensated with 7 $ / hour for time spent or fixed fees. The project costs are financed by participation fees and any sales in addition to the above contribution. Other sponsorship maximum 2000 $.
