Accountability and early engagement help improve initial estimates' accuracy and the overall alignment of the corporation. Unfortunately, many corporations lack the proper training and skills to define goals and effectively delegate responsibilities.

In addition, a project may fail due to the unavailability of the necessary resources required to support the project. Inadequate capability for resource management and lack of time to dedicate to strategizing the project leads to failure. A corporation may have insufficient resources failing to strategize on the project effectively. A project should ensure adequate resources since stakeholders' support is imperative.

For instance, Berlin Brandenburg Airport in Germany has failed to commence its activities as anticipated. The airport aimed to put Berlin on the map as a commerce center; however, the goal was never met. There were conflicting visions of the stakeholders diluting the common goal, hindering the progress at a normal rate.
