Being the organization's first project, the scope of the project is to develop a website & application within 6 months and launch it online under the budget of $1,000,000.

In Canada, there are different types of services ranging from plumbing to fitness training. However, to avail them, people must visit different websites or download different apps. Furthermore, it becomes difficult to compare different service providers due to this fragmentation. To remove this hassle, Servico provides almost all these services at one place to its user on their fingertips. One can easily compare the prices of the providers to make sure that they are not overpaying. Also, it gives many businesses a platform through which they can reach out to new customers and gain more profit.

The aim is to include maximum services under one application by collaborating with service providers of various segments of Canada including -

JUSTIFICATION

1.Time

Since the schedule of the project is 6 months, Time is the top priority on which the decisions will be made.

2.Scope

To meet the schedule of the project, it will be important to follow the defined scope, hence Scope is the second criteria on which the project decisions will be made.

The scope may vary to achieve the vision of the organization

3.Cost

Since the budget of the project is $`1,000,000, the final cost of the project will be under the budget after all deliverables are met.

4.Assumptions

  1. The quality of service provided by the workers will meet the service standards.
  2. The customers hiring the service professionals will not reach out to the service professionals directly by avoiding UrbanClap.
  3. The company will meet the supply (service professionals) and demand (users) of the customers.
  4. Assuming there is no downtime, and the app is working seamlessly without any errors for the users.
  5. Assuming the service is available on all platforms for the users android/iOS app along with the website.

5.Constraints

  • Financial: Our project demands to be associated with different companies and individual service providers so that we can provide multiple services under one platform. An ideal case for this project would be that for the companies we are associating with, we should purchase 2% shares of those companies so that we have our say in that company. Moreover, managing Project cost, Team member salaries, cost of advertising, repair costs, etc. also need to be taken care of.
  • Resource: Another major constraint that Servico would be facing is "Shared- Resources". When the resources are shared there are chances that the demand and supply graph is not met due to availability of the resource. Without effective resource management, projects may have inferior quality, higher costs, and lengthier timelines.
  • Time: Establishing a user-friendly platform, performing Information security audits for securing customers information, collaborating with businesses, bringing individual service providers on board, and much more, are time-consuming activities, therefore completing the project and going live in 6 months is a battle that Servico needs to tackle.
  • Technology: Technology is changing rapidly, and it is quite possible that while the project is under development, a new product or service is introduced which may help us in completing the project prior to our timeline or it might increase market competitiveness and lower our products' value.

There are several requirements of the project depending on the goal which is capturing the Canadian market in 5 years. These requirements must be provided for the project to be completed.

Design is very important in a project where you provide a service to your end users. The UX/UI design of the application must be appealing for customers to use and for the company to attract more customers.

Establishment of the application - Deadline: 01/31/2023

Most of the things are going to be seen after the app is built. A lot of marketing initiatives and decisions will be taken accordingly. It is one of the most important moments of the project to be able to be successful.

9.Risks

This project I well prepared and ready for every occasion but there might be some risks that can occur. We are prepared for the question of what if the existing service providers decline the offer of the users. The answer to that is, we will not have just one service provider for one specific service but more than one, which will decrease the chance of not being able to find any service providers for the users. This is an application to help to make people more comfortable, requesting a service while they are sitting at their houses. So, by having more than one service provider, customers will be more likely to find whichever service they are looking for.

There is another risk of the possibility of not capturing the maximal Canadian market in 5 years. In that case, we as Servico will be focusing more on the marketing initiatives we will take to capture more of the Canadian market. Using influencers, external partners, and social accounts are some of the examples we have as a solution to that. Since we are a new company that is just testing the market, the initiatives and results we will experience will help us a lot to learn and act. This is more like an opportunity rather than a risk for us.

Finally, there is also an operational risk as there is in every project. There might be some unexpected shift in the roles of the team and that would have a severe impact on the project. As a solution to that, we clarified all of the responsibilities as well as having at least one consultant for each role who would be able to help in that kind of situation.
